Opinion: A clock saved the NBA. Can it now save baseball?

Frederic Frommer writes that MLB's new pitch clock might sound like a radical idea, but the same concept saved the NBA nearly 70 years ago when the 24-second shot clock was implemented to accelerate a plodding game.
